Biography

Alan has worked for many years with entrepreneurial families, physicians, attorneys, accountants, and other professionals, serving as their business, tax and estate planning counsel. In this regard, Alan helps his clients from the inception and creation of their businesses or professional practices, by negotiating and drafting organizational documents, operating agreements and buy-sell agreements, negotiating real estate leases, business sales, mergers and acquisitions, and structuring liquidations of businesses and professional practices. In addition, he has developed and implemented sophisticated estate plans for his clients, achieving significant estate tax savings or mitigation through the use of gifts, intra-family asset transfers and life insurance protection. In providing the foregoing services, Alan relies upon the accounting experience which he gained in becoming a certified public accountant in New York State, prior to commencing the practice of law.
